Nestled in the Hennops Mountains is the most remarkable sanctuary, for dogs who have lost their families or have been rescued from dire situations. Every day the dedicated team at Dogtown SA provides individual care to each of these dogs in a peaceful, tranquil setting while they wait for their forever homes.
There is often a misconception that all rescue dogs are going to be damaged in some way, but that's simply not true. There are plenty of wonderful dogs at Dogtown SA, who through no fault of their own have found themselves homeless and are just hoping for a second chance at a new life in a loving home.
MUTT N BEAN PET-FRIENDLY CAFE AND PARK
On our amazing farm where we save the lives of abandoned dogs, we are always looking for ways to create special spaces for dog lovers. Spaces that are different, unique, and true fun spots for our dogs. What you and your dog have been waiting for has arrived at the beautiful 50-acre farm at Dogtown.
I know for myself I am always a little nervous about dog parks, a few too many incidents have made the experience for me too stressful. I also know it's not a fun place for all dogs. Some thrive in the crowds of dogs but like people, dogs have different characters and lots of dogs really don't enjoy the company of so many dogs. This is why we built the Mutt & Bean Café - an amazing pet-friendly cafe, where you can book your very own fenced private tea garden to enjoy lovely coffee and yummy pastries and treats.
The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating but when you book the private tea garden, your dogs get to run and play in a secured garden with you. There's a lovely paddle pool for the dogs and luscious trees for a bit of shade.
What could be better than getting away from the hustle and bustle out into the countryside with your dogs? We know the dogs love the adventure of open spaces and new smells. We have fun ball pools and larger private play areas if you want a larger space for you and your friends.
Our cafe is also the pawfect spot to celebrate your fur kids' birthday with our fun PAWTIES. You can book out multiple gardens or one of the larger private gardens so your dog and their friends and families can have an amazing fun day while enjoying yummy doggie delights.
We are almost complete with our fantastic 5 km walking trail around the farm which has shorter paths too, so you can make a wonderful day out for you and your dogs. Starting with a great hike, then a lovely rest in your private garden while you both enjoy a yummy cupcake. Inside the cafe is our pet shop where we have tried and tested products on sale for your dogs and some cool merchandise for you too. Our amazing behaviourists and trainers are also on hand to give a little advice to you and your dogs.
