Rescue. Rebuild. Repeat.

People often ask me why I started ResQ R.R.R.
The answer is simple.
I could no longer look away.
Once you witness the suffering of an animal and realise you have the ability to help, walking away is no longer an option.
Every neglected puppy, every abandoned dog and every animal left to fend for itself left a mark on my heart. Eventually, I realised that if I wanted to see change, I had to become part of it.
That’s how ResQ R.R.R. – Rescue. Rebuild. Repeat. was born.
ResQ R.R.R. is a growing animal rescue based in Gauteng with one simple mission: to rescue, rehabilitate and responsibly rehome neglected, abandoned and vulnerable animals. We believe rescue doesn’t end when an animal is removed from a bad situation – it begins there.
To us, rescue is about far more than saving a life. It’s about rebuilding what was broken – restoring health, rebuilding trust, giving frightened animals confidence again and allowing them to become what they were always meant to be.
A team effort
Although I founded ResQ R.R.R., I certainly don’t do it alone.
My biggest supporter is my mom, Madi, who proudly calls herself “The Poop Patrol”. Behind the humour is someone with an enormous heart who stands beside me through every rescue, every vet visit, every bottle feed, every late night and every heartbreak. She’s become one of ResQ R.R.R.’s greatest ambassadors, sharing our mission wherever she goes and helping us receive much-needed donations for the animals in our care.
At this stage, ResQ R.R.R. is powered by just the two of us.
From rescue call-outs and emergency collections to rehabilitation, veterinary visits, fundraising, home checks and finding the perfect forever families – we do it all ourselves. Every animal that comes into our care becomes part of our family until they find one of their own.
Every animal receives veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, proper nutrition, socialisation and endless love.
They are rehomed through a responsible adoption process that includes home checks, ensuring they are matched with families committed to giving them a lifetime of care. Sterilisation is included in every adoption package, because preventing unwanted litters is one of the most important ways to reduce animal suffering before it begins.
Connecting to help the animals
We have a special passion for helping the animals many others overlook – new-born puppies requiring around-the-clock care, neglected animals, severe mange cases and emergency rescues that simply cannot wait.
While ResQ R.R.R. continues to grow, we’re also building a strong presence within our local community through adoption days, fundraising events and educational outreach at Modderpoot Brak Park. These events allow us to connect with fellow animal lovers, promote responsible pet ownership and help more animals find loving, forever homes.
Happy’s Story

One puppy, in particular, reminds me why we do this every single day. His name is Happy.
On the 16th of May, Happy was found wandering alone in Walkerville. He was painfully thin, covered in mange and struggling just to survive. His tiny body told a story of neglect, yet despite everything he’d endured, he still greeted people with a wagging tail.
We welcomed him into our care and immediately began his road to recovery. Nutritious food, veterinary treatment, medication, patience and unconditional love slowly transformed him.
In less than a month, Happy looked like a completely different dog.
His coat began to grow back.
His body filled out.
His confidence returned.
The frightened little puppy became exactly what his name promised...
Happy.
Today he’s healthy, playful, affectionate and full of personality. Looking at him now, it’s difficult to believe he’s the same puppy we rescued only weeks before.
Happy’s transformation is proof that rescue works. It’s proof that one act of kindness, combined with commitment and compassion, can completely change a life.
He’s now searching for the one thing rescue cannot provide: a forever family.

Our Vision
Our dream is to establish a dedicated emergency rescue facility where abandoned, abused and neglected animals can receive immediate care, rehabilitation and safety while waiting for their forever homes.
A dedicated facility would allow us to save more lives, respond to emergencies without delay, and ensure that no animal is ever turned away because there’s nowhere safe for them to go.
Our Wish List
As a growing rescue, we’re always grateful for support. Our greatest needs include:
• Puppy milk replacer for neonatal puppies
• Puppy and adult dog food (dry kibble and tinned food)
• Cat food
• Blankets and bedding
• Cleaning supplies and disinfectants
• Dewormers
• Flea and tick treatments
• Puppy pads
• Bowls, leads, collars and toys
• Financial contributions towards veterinary treatment and emergency rescues
We also regularly feed and assist stray animals within our communities, because hunger doesn’t stop at our gate.
You can help support ResQ R.R.R.
While our NPO registration is still being finalised, donations are currently received into my personal bank account and are used exclusively for ResQ R.R.R. rescue expenses. Once the registration process is complete, all donations will be directed to our official organisational bank account.
