Lucy arrived ten years ago as a tiny, pretty little rescue package wrapped in cuteness and sprinkled with just enough sass to keep everybody on their toes.
She may be small in size, but emotionally she occupies approximately 94% of the household.
For a long time, her beloved big sister, Yanka-Kwanita (read her tribute), was her whole world, and she still misses her deeply, but because LucyJordan is both dramatic and adaptable, she’s gracefully accepted her new sister, Ellie-Mae, who’s physically the size of a small rhinoceros but mentally still a toddler.
Lucy now spends her days zooming around with Ellie-Mae, proving that friendship truly knows no size limit.
Of course, while Ellie-Mae may be her playmate, DannyBoy remains her favourite cuddle. Luce has standards, after all. When it comes to serious snuggling, DannyBoy is apparently the deluxe heated blanket with emotional support included.
LucyJordan is also not what one would call “outdoorsy”. Hiking? Mud? Camping? Absolutely not. She’s far more suited to a lifestyle involving boutique shopping centres, wine tastings, tiny cucumber sandwiches, facials, nail appointments, and perhaps a respectable Tuesday evening book club where everybody discusses feelings over snacks.
If LucyJordan were human, she’d absolutely own a beige handbag and say things like “I simply cannot do stress”.
Despite her clear preference for the finer things in life, Lucy somehow manages to get along beautifully with every animal she meets. Foster babies adore her. She plays gently with the baby monkeys, entertains mongoose babies like an exhausted kindergarten teacher, and somehow keeps order without ever smudging her imaginary mascara.
She’s lightning fast, endlessly busy, ridiculously cute, and fully convinced that all available affection belongs to her – which, to be fair, it mostly does. LucyJordan doesn’t ask for love. She arrives, climbs into your lap, stares into your soul, and files an emotional complaint until sufficient cuddles have been provided.
In short: LucyJordan is beauty, chaos, speed, tenderness, drama, and pure love wrapped into one tiny little babe – and the house would never be the same without her.
